Workshop on the Application of Generative AI for Academic and Research Purposes

The Department of IT, Faculty of Arts, University of Peradeniya, successfully conducted the 4th workshop on the Application of Generative AI for Academic and Research Purposes today, 25th September 2025. This workshop was specially organized for all academic staff members of the Faculty of Arts, aiming to enhance their understanding and practical skills in applying Generative AI tools for teaching, learning, and research. The session was conducted by Professor Sakunthala Yatigammana, who shared valuable insights and hands-on guidance on the effective and ethical use of Generative AI in academic contexts. The Department of IT extends its best wishes to all the participants and looks forward to continuing this important initiative of integrating modern technologies into academic and research practices.
